Become a Health Champion
Young People are at the heart of everything we do

Barnardo's HYPE Service is recruiting Health Champions.

We are looking for young people aged 11 – 25 who have used support services and want to use their experience to improve services for other young people.

 

You will join a team of young people and receive support and training from Barnardo's project workers.

 

You can earn vouchers and online badges as you achieve your goals and make a difference.

 

We also have a route into employment for young adults aged 18+.

 

As a health champion you can;

 

• Represent young people

• Create films and social media

• Design new services with health leaders

• Interview staff

 ​

We particularly welcome young people of colour and LGBTQ+ young people and hope to involve young people in making services more accessible.

 

Any time commitment is welcome. Some young people get involved just in school holidays or in after school groups once or twice a month. You may have time during the day and can get involved more.
